{"id":3072,"date":"2020-11-18T16:04:58","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T16:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoriamag.com\/?p=3072"},"modified":"2020-12-14T16:06:23","modified_gmt":"2020-12-14T16:06:23","slug":"altered-sports-plan-for-the-michigan-high-school-athletic-association","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoriamag.com\/?p=3072","title":{"rendered":"Altered Sports Plan for the Michigan High School Athletic Association"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This should make a lot of players, coaches, and parents somewhat happy, at least for the time being.<\/p>\n<p>According to the\u00a0Lansing State Journal, a schedule is now in place for the Michigan High School Athletic Association should activity be allowed to resume Dec. 9 following a three week pause designed to slow the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>The altered schedule approved by the MHSAA&#8217;s representative council features weekday football games and winter sports competition starting in January.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, here&#8217;s the exciting part. In football, the 11 player regionals and 8 player semifinals would take place Tuesday, Dec. 15 or Wednesday, Dec. 16.
