Sheriff Dar Leaf files federal lawsuit alleging voter fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf is filing a lawsuit in federal court, alleging voter fraud in the Nov. 3 election. Leaf made headlines previously this year when it was discovered\u00a0<b>he had shared a stage<\/b>\u00a0with members of the group alleged to be involved in a plot to kidnap two state governors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Sheriff Leaf says he intends to prevent Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson from ordering county clerks to delete election data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The lawsuit states once the data is destroyed, it will not be available for forensic examination. The sheriff believes data from all of Michigan\u2019s municipalities must be preserved in order to allow for it to be used for further legal actions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Leaf believes there are valid claims of voter fraud in the presidential election, and the state\u2019s audit was insufficient.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The lawsuit names the defendants as Secretary Benson, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and the Michigan Board of State Canvassers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officials have not found widespread voter fraud in Michigan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf is filing a lawsuit in federal court, alleging voter fraud in the Nov.&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":3118,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[57],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v15.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Barry Co.
