MICH. –\u00a0 <\/strong>A New Hampshire woman is facing federal charges for allegedly threatening a Michigan election official, including sending her graphic photos of a mutilated, bloody corpse, authorities said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Katelyn Jones, 23, of Epping, is accused of firing off menacing text messages to Republican Wayne County Board of Canvassers chairwoman Monica Palmer on Nov. 18 \u2014 because the official refused to certify results of the US presidential election in favor of Joe Biden, according to a criminal complaint filed by the FBI,\u00a0mlive.com reported.<\/p>\n

In one disturbing message, Jones allegedly sent the image of a \u201cbloody, deceased, nude, mutilated woman\u201d followed by one of Palmer\u2019s daughter,\u00a0the FBI said in a court filing.<\/p>\n

\u201cF***ing with our elections is TERRORISM, and us Americans clearly don\u2019t tolerate terrorist so yes you should be afraid, your daughter should be afraid and so should (your husband),\u201d the text reportedly said.<\/p>\n

Palmer allegedly became the target of Jones\u2019 wrath after she rescinded her vote to certify election results last month, citing allegations of voter fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have made a grave mistake. I hope you realize that now,\u201d Jones wrote in one of the texts, according to an affidavit.\u00a0 \u201c[You\u2019re] a disgusting racist b***h.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moreover, the New Hampshire woman is also accused of threatening Palmer via Instagram, writing, \u201cHmmm I\u2019d (sic) be a shame if something happened to your daughter at school,\u201d\u00a0mlive.com reported.<\/p>\n

When questioned by the FBI, Jones admitted she sent the texts because she thought Palmer was \u201cinterfering with the election,\u201d according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

She was arrested Wednesday in New Hampshire and faces up to 20 years in prison,\u00a0New York Post reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe allegations in this case should make all of us disgusted,\u201d US Attorney Matthew Schneider said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is simply no place in Michigan, or in the United States, for chilling threats like this to people who are simply doing what they believe is correct,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
