Peoria police showcase bomb disposal robot to students at CareerSpark Expo

Peoria, IL – Peoria police officers gave students a firsthand look at the department’s bomb disposal robot during the CareerSpark Expo at the Peoria Civic Center.

The Peoria Police Department said students had the opportunity to see the specialized robot in action and learn how officers use the technology to help keep the community safe.

The robot allows officers to investigate potentially dangerous objects from a distance, reducing the need for personnel to approach suspected explosives directly.

The demonstration offered students a closer look at the technology used in law enforcement and the specialized equipment officers rely on when responding to potentially hazardous situations.

Police shared photos from the event, highlighting the role of technology in public safety and giving students an opportunity to learn more about the work officers do to protect their community.
